An insightful, fun & interactive session was conducted by the Resource Development Centre which focussed on getting the students in tune with the workings of the corporate world. Students were made aware of what to expect when they finally step into the corporate world. Student volunteers from the audience gave a live example of how a group discussion is & Mr. Raj Menon portrayed how a really stern PR acts during the mock interview sessions & guided the students as to how they should tackle such situations. After the session was completed the students were confident of taking on the corporate world with the valuable information imparted to them. They also conducted a faculty development program for the staff.
SWCET’s Participation in Conference on e-Governance

A two day conference on National & International Innovative practices in e-Governance was organised at Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS) which was attended by a few students & lecturers of Shadan Women’s College of Engineering and Technology. It was one of the most enlightening experiences for the students & lecturers alike to see the progress that the government is doing in the field of e-Governance. There were a host of national and international guest speakers with prestigious titles to their name. Among the topics that were spoken on were change management, The Roving eye project of Chhattisgarh that is used to detect tax defaulters, Mobile Seva by Kavita Bhatia, Service Plus & e-service delivery framework and many alike. Prof. Ju ho lee from Korea gave an insight into the education reforms in Korea and the Korean education system which is now among the best in the world through video conference in which 5 other nations too participated. International speakers Dr. Robert Krimmer and Prof. Dr. H.C.Wolfgang Dreschler from Estonia spoke about the electronic voting and e-Governance in the land of Skype respectively. The conference was a thoroughly knowledgeable and interesting break for the students from their monotonous engineering studies where they were able to interact with highly accomplished Govt. Employees and International speakers alike. The Students of Shadan participated whole heartedly and enthusiastically and were much appreciated.

Envisage -14 is organised by Student’s Chapter of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Students from engineering colleges all over the country are invited to participate in the event. They can choose any topic from the streams-CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, MBA, Maths, Physics, Chemistry. This event aims at giving a great exposure to students and is a wonderful platform for them to showcase their technical skills.
